The following education and research facilities are located in the S1, S2, and U5 Buildings.
- The S1 Building houses the design studio on the 9th floor; research laboratories on the 7th and 8th floors;
the Department of Architectural Engineering office and presentation room on the 2nd floor;
and the graduate student room for students in the structural engineering program on the 1st floor.
- The structural engineering laboratory is located in the S2 Building,
while the environmental engineering laboratory is located in the U5 Building.

Presentation Room

The presentation room is located on the second floor of Building S1. It is well well-equipped for presentations, featuring a permanently installed projector and whiteboard walls. The room is used for seminars, design project reviews, lectures by architects, presentations, and award ceremonies.

Design Studios

Design studios are located on the ninth floor of Building S1. They serve as spaces for drawing and model making, as well as for presenting completed architectural works. In addition, outside of class hours, they function as a salon where students gather and interact.

Structure Laboratory View

In the structure laboratory, we conduct loading tests for various types of structures, such as reinforced concrete structures, prestressed concrete structures, concrete filled tube structures, steel structures and wood structures. "Experiment of Building Structure" is also done here.

Research Facilities for Environmental Engineering

The research facilities, located in the U5 Building, include a climate chamber and a large-space experimental room. The indoor thermal and air environment experiments are conducted in the climate chamber. The large-space experimental room enables both full-scale experiments in a high-ceiling space and various reduced-scale experiments. In addition, the U5 Building is equipped with an odor experimental chamber and a clean room experimental chamber. In these facilities, we conduct research ranging from fundamental to applied studies by acquiring airflow, air quality, and thermal environment measurement data, as well as psychological and physiological evaluation data, using high-precision and advanced instruments.
